Welcome Back!
I am BACK!!! After a little break from blogging this past week I am hoping to be back in full force this summer. Since I will not be travelling somewhere "exotic" this summer I plan on exploring the amazing sites that I have here locally and showcasing some pretty cool vacations that I have taken with my family in the past.
Also my brother is also going to be in Germany for 4 weeks this summer so I might have him write a few posts about that adventure. Needless to say just because I am not off on some wild adventure does not mean that there will not be anything interesting here on the blog. Tune in soon for my weekend adventures. See you soon!

Home Again
I am home again. After a long long journey I made it home. So you all know. At the moment I'm getting settled back in and taking care of a few things. When all of this is done I will be back.

Halifax Airport
Well I have now been at the Halifax Airport for almost 6 hours. I have slept for about 4 of those. I am now sitting here looking out the window watching it rain, listening to Tangled, writing this, and drinking what might be my last Tim Horton's in awhile.
The Halifax Airport is an interesting place. It has been voted one of the best airports in the Americas as well as some other awards for being awesome. It has this waiting area that I have been in for the past 6 hours. It has a view of some planes and has nice little pictures of planes. During the night there was a number of people here sleeping but now that the sun has risen and flights are leaving it is empty except for me. It is kind of funny to sit here by myself after the emotional whirlwind that the last few days have been. I'm finally alone with my emotions and yet I don't feel as sad as I thought I would. I still greatly miss all my friends from the CBU but at the moment I am alright with it. That does not mean that once I get home I won't have a break down. At the moment however I am fine.

Farewell to Nova Scotia
With my days here coming to an end I would like to share this beautiful song with. I hope you enjoy it and feel my longing to come back to this wonderful place some day. Here are the traditional lyrics if they are a bit hard to understand.
The sun was setting in the west,
The birds were singing on every tree.
All nature seemed inclined to rest
But still there was no rest for me.
Chorus: Farewell to Nova Scotia, the sea-bound coast, Let your mountains dark and dreary be. For when I am far away on the briny ocean tossed, Will you ever heave a sigh or a wish for me?
I grieve to leave my native home,
I grieve to leave my comrades all,
And my parents whom I love so dear,
And the bonnie, bonnie lassie that I do adore.
Chorus
The drums they do beat and the wars to alarm,
The captain calls, and I must obey.
So farewell, farewell to Nova Scotia's charms,
For it's early in the morning and I'm far, far away.
Chorus
I have three brothers and they are at rest,
Their hands are folded on their breast.
But a poor simple sailor just like me,
Must be tossed and driven on the dark blue sea.
The sun was setting in the west,
The birds were singing on every tree.
All nature seemed inclined to rest
But still there was no rest for me.
Chorus: Farewell to Nova Scotia, the sea-bound coast, Let your mountains dark and dreary be. For when I am far away on the briny ocean tossed, Will you ever heave a sigh or a wish for me?
I grieve to leave my native home,
I grieve to leave my comrades all,
And my parents whom I love so dear,

Chorus

So farewell, farewell to Nova Scotia's charms,
For it's early in the morning and I'm far, far away.
Chorus
I have three brothers and they are at rest,
Their hands are folded on their breast.
But a poor simple sailor just like me,

Last Class: Check! Final Exams: AAAHH!!!
YES!!! I have had my last class of the semester. I don't know whether to celebrate that I made it or start freaking out that I have 2 exams on Saturday. I think I've chosen a middle ground. I am thrilled that classes are over and I did celebrate by watching a movie last night. Now it's time to study, though. If I am absent the next few days that is why. I will have my nose stuck in a book re-learning who the first PM was, why Alice in Wonderland was so revolutionary, or how to conjugate French verbs. It's going to be a busy few days. Wish me luck!

A Few Things More That I Miss
As my days here are drawing to an end (at least for now) I am starting to anticipate the things that I will greatly appreciate when I am back home.
1. Tilamook Cheese (and othe products) - I've heard people lament leaving Oregon because of the lack of Tilamook Cheese. In fact I have even been the deliverer of a 5lb block of cheese to West Virginia but I guess you never really appreciate a good thing untill it's gone. The other day I had the strongest craving for a Tilamook Grilled Cheese Sandwich I have ever had. I bet you can guess what I will be eating when I get home.
2. My Books - Not that I don't have books here (cause I do) but I miss my trusty old friends who have been with me through thick and thin and that I have read at least 10 times.
3. Green - The colour not the movement. I know that it's because it's been winter but I miss green. At home, even in the winter, there is always green. I guess I'm just going through a desire for spring to be here quickly!!
That is all for now. If you can notice something Canadian about this post I will give you bonus points. Happy Hunting!!
